Warren County Coalition Discusses Recalling Officials

23 July 2019 Front Royal/Warren County News

A group of concerned Warren County citizens met over the weekend to discuss the possibility of recalling members of the Front Royal Town Council and Warren County Board of Supervisors.

The Warren County Coalition, which describes itself as a non-partisan group of Town and County citizens focused on good governance and oversight, met on Saturday (7/20/2019). The group weighed the pro’s and con’s of retaining legal council to begin the process of recalling local elected town and county representatives before the end of their terms, and agreed to gather more information on the funds that would require. The coalition also agreed to compile a list of specific grievances and demands to formally present to their local elected officials. The meeting came just days after a Thursday (7/18/2019) Front Royal-Warren County Town-County liaison meeting, during which representatives discussed whether or not the town has the right to dissolve the Warren County Economic Development Authority.
