Warren County Fire Destroys Home, Two Vehicles

18 December 2018 Front Royal/Warren County News

A Warren County fire completely destroyed a home and threatened the wildland areas around it.

In a release yesterday Warren County’s Department of Fire and Rescue gave details on the blaze, which occurred in the High Knob Mountain Neighborhood. Units were dispatched on Sunday, December 9th, to 81 Trent Trail Court at around 11:00 p.m.; by the time the first fire unit arrived ten minutes later, the single story home there and two vehicles were involved in the fire. Access to the home was difficult, as it was perched along a steep ravine, and firefighters fought against prevailing winds and below freezing temperatures. While nobody was injured by the blaze, the home and two vehicles were deemed a total loss. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
