Warren County Now Fiscal Agent for the EDA
9 May 2019 Front Royal/Warren County News
A Tuesday (5/7/2019) night vote by the Board of Supervisors means that Warren County is officially the fiscal agent for the Front Royal-Warren County EDA.
The decision means that the county will receive a list of accounts from the EDA that it will approve each month, and that it will now be able to see what payments are going out by department. The EDA worked with the county to make this possible shortly after filing their $17 million civil suit against former Executive Director Jennifer McDonald and eight other defendants over misappropriated funds. The county will continue to serve as the authority’s fiscal agent for five years unless the EDA provides 90 days notice that they will terminate the deal.
