Warren County Public Schools Seeks Public Input on Tiered School Start
3 February 2017 News
The Warren County School Board is looking into the idea of tiered school starts for the next school year. This would mean elementary and middle/high school students would start the school day at different times. This would entail,
All buses would be in use picking up High School and Middle School students at one time. This shortens most ride times for students and allows all students to be dropped off at school within a narrow window, shortening wait times at schools. This is a benefit to students and to the school in terms of organization of staff and management of students during a non-learning time.
All buses would then repeat their bus runs picking up Elementary School students. Again, shortening ride times and wait times. Tiered Starts can also be done with Elementary Schools starting first
The School Board has put together an 8 minute video giving an explanation of why they are looking at the change. There is also a web document with information on the proposal on the Warren County Public School’s website.
The School Board wants to hear from the community about this matter. To give your feedback, email Greg Drescher, Superintendent of Schools, at email@example.com
