Warren County Sheriffs to Receive New Radio Equipment
5 May 2017 News
Warren County board of Supervisors heard a presentation from Motorola concerning upgrading the radio system used by the Sheriff’s Office. The new system would allow Warren County Sheriffs to communicate easier with Fire and Rescue services as well as other law enforcement agencies. To avoid the bidding process the Board plans to use a state contract to buy the equipment. The new radios are estimated to cost 1.2 million dollars however once a final price is determined the county would plan to pay back the sale over the course of 5-10 years. The current radio system in use is old enough that certain parts are no longer manufactured.
