Warren County Supervisors’ Chairman Calls for Patience

19 April 2019 Front Royal/Warren County News

The Chairman of the Warren County Board of Supervisors called for patience Tuesday (4/16/2019) as he addressed calls for him to resign.

Supervisor Dan Murray said during yesterday’s meeting that “falsehoods” and “misguided statements” regarding the $17 million civil suit filed by the county’s Economic Development Authority and the ongoing investigation into EDA actions are tearing the community apart. Murray said that the lawsuit prevents Supervisors from speaking on the issue. He also said Tuesday that people are acting behind his back to trying to “subvert me, knock me down, and bring someone in as an independent.” Murray is up for re-election in November, and said at this week’s meeting that “the will of the people will rule.”
