Warren County Supervisors OK Administrative Raises

4 August 2016 News

After a closed session job review, the Warren County Board of Supervisors approved raises for its County Administrator and Deputy County Administrator.

County Administrator Dough Stanley saw his salary hiked $3,550 to $145,558; Deputy Administrator Bob Childress got a $7,971 bump to $111,635.

Stanley was hired as County Zoning Administrator in 1994 and became Planning Director in 1996.  He took over as County Administrator, while remaining Planning Director in July 2000 at an annual salary of $70,000. He served in that duel role until Deputy Planning Director Taryn Logan was promoted to the Planning Department’s to job in July 2008.

Bob Childress was hired as Deputy County Administrator in July 2010, at a salary of $85,051. He replaced Dick Magnifico, who had retired. Childress was familiar with at least some County operations at the time of his hiring, as Warren County was part of the area he covered as a VDOT engineer.
