Warren Supervisors OK Boundary Line Adjustment

23 August 2019 Front Royal/Warren County News

The Warren County Board of Supervisors approved an adjustment to the county’s boundary line with Frederick County this week.

The boundary line became an issue in 2018, after the Virginia Department of Elections discovered that some Frederick County citizens who believed they lived in Warren were voting in Warren County elections. The confusion was the result of flawed deed records for parcels in the Foster Hollow Road area, a dozen of which were assessed in the wrong county. Supervisors approved a change to the county line there Tuesday (8/20/2019) that would result in ten Frederick County parcels being located in Warren County, and two Warren County parcels being located in Frederick County. Frederick County approved the same boundary adjustment earlier this month, and it now requires court order approval.
