Water and Sewer Upgrades Close Roads in Front Royal

2 November 2019 Front Royal/Warren County News

November 2, 2019

FRONT ROYAL – The Town of Front Royal announced upcoming water line upgrades and sewer line extensions that will close portions of active roads in the Town.

A contractor will install new water lines on Steele Ave., Highview St. and Scott St. These upgrades will take place each day, from 8 am to 5 pm, from Nov. 7 to January 31, 2020. Sections of the road will be closed as the work progresses, but residents will be able to get in and out of the construction sections. Locals in the area should be on the lookout for periods of no water during the project. Work crews will have signage up to mark which sections are being worked on and where detours are located if necessary.

The Front Royal Water and Sewer Department will also be extending the sewer line at W. Duck St. beginning on Nov. 7. The project will take place from 8 am to 3:30 pm each day through Nov. 22. There will be a lane closure at the intersection of W. Duck St. and Forest Hill Dr. Work crews will have signs and flaggers in place to divert traffic.

All work is weather permitting, and if you have any questions you can contact Front Royal Public Works at 540-635-7819.
