WATTS offers a cooling center in Winchester
The Winchester Area Temporary Thermal Shelter (WATTS) will offer a cooling center at the Market Street United Methodist Church starting August 2.
The shelter will be available Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays noon to 5 p.m..
The shelter will be opened Thursdays from noon to 4:30 p.m..
Those in need are welcome to a drink a snack charge a phone and use the bathroom.
Donations and volunteers are needed for the shelter if you can help call (540) 327-5431.
