Waynesboro fugitive apprehended in Front Royal

The Waynesboro Police Department (WPD) reported a search for a wanted fugitive who was later apprehended in Front Royal.
The WPD responded to a domestic-related incident in the 100 block of Dupont Boulevard where shots were fired at a vehicle Mar. 25.
The vehicle fired at was struck but the occupant was not hit and was uninjured.
The suspect was identified as 32-year-old James Wesley Reinhold of Augusta County who was last seen fleeing on a motorcycle.
Authorities issued a be on the lookout for Reinhold who was considered armed and dangerous.
The WPD issued warrants for Reinhold’s arrest on charges of attempted second-degree murder, shooting into an occupied vehicle, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a violent felon.
On Mar. 26 Reinhold was reported to be at Warren Memorial Hospital for unknown reasons and apprehended by a Front Royal Police officer.
The Front Royal Police Department confirmed by phone that Reinhold is being held without bond in the Rappahannock, Shenandoah, Warren Regional Jail as the investigation continues.
