A press release from the Warren County Board of Supervisors (WCBS) ensures that the Warren County Public Schools’ budget provides for teacher raises.

The Board of Supervisors supports a school budget sufficient to cover teacher’s 3 percent raises including increases and the hiring of an additional agriculture teacher at Skyline High School.

The Board of Supervisors requests that the Warren County School Board (WCSB) honor the request over any non-labor increases.

Shenandoah District supervisor John Stanmyer noted that he believes that the board found great solutions that allow the School Board to provide their employees with what is needed while addressing the funding challenges the county is facing.

The WCBS) and Public-School Board continue to work together to fine tune their respective budgets for the upcoming 2025 budget year.
