WCDFR receives staffing grant
The Warren County Department of Fire and Rescue will receive a 1.2 million dollar grant.
The grant comes from the Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency response (SAFER) and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
The monies will help fund the salaries and benefits for six new firefighters for three years.
The new firefighter positions will be used at the newly constructed Rivermont Fire station.
The fire department hopes to hire two new twenty four seven first responders.
The fire station replacement and construction project is slated to be completed by the end of the year.
