WCFR investigate a fire on Browntown Road

Warren County Fire and Rescue (WCFR) report responding to a structure fire in the 400 block of Browntown Road.

On arrival firefighters found a detached garage with multiple vehicles and equipment inside fully involved.

Fire crews worked to keep the fire from spreading to a nearby home, outbuilding, and other vehicles.

Additional crews were activated to set up a rural water supply operation utilizing a designated fire hydrant in the 2800 block of Browntown.

The fire was taken under control in approximately 40 minutes with units remaining on the scene for several hours to ensure the fire was completely under control and out.

One occupant was evaluated at the scene for respiratory distress but refused any treatment or transportation to the hospital.

The Warren County Fire Marshal’s Office is working to determine the cause of the fire.

Fire units from South Warren, Front Royal, Rivermont, Chester Gap, and Linden responded to the incident.
