WCFR prevent another brush and woods fire

Warren County Fire and Rescue (WCFR) report responding to a house fire that was spreading into a nearby wooded area in the 200 block of Punch Run Road.
At approximately 10:15 a.m. Apr. 8 firefighters arrived to find a single-wide trailer style home fully engulfed in flames with a quarter acre of wooded area becoming involved.
Firefighters confirmed the home was unoccupied at the time they began fire suppression to prevent the fire from spreading further.
The fire took approximately 30 minutes to bring under control.
Firefighters remained on the scene for several hours to ensure the fire was completely extinguished.
Units responded from Linden, South and North Warren, Rivermont, Shenandoah Shores and Farms, Chester Gap and Fortsmouth fire companies.
There were no injuries in the incident, but the home was rendered a total loss.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Warren County Fire Marshals Office.
