WCFR report 3 structures burned on March 3

Just after 1:30 the afternoon of March 3 Warren County Fire and Rescue (WCFR) report being called to smoke coming from a vacant dwelling on Osage Street Front Royal.

On arrival firefighters found fire through the roof of the empty building and spreading to adjacent buildings.

The three buildings involved were searched and crews confirmed no occupants were inside.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire and prevent additional spreading.

The fire’s origin is being investigated by Warren County’s Fire Marshal’s Office and anyone with any information on the incident is asked to call 540-636-3830.

Fire units remained on the scene for approximately 3 and half hours and were assisted by the Front Royal Police Department.

Along with units from WCFR, Front Royal Volunteer Fire and Rescue, Fortsmouth and Strasburg Fire Department were also dispatched on the call.

There were no injuries reported in the incident.
