WCSO and concerned citizens stop driver

A high speed chase through the streets of Front Royal ended with the arrest of the driver of a Mercedes who was not identified.

A Warren County Sheriff’s deputy attempted the initial stop near the 522 park and ride when the driver fled.

The deputy lost pursuit when concerned citizens began reporting a Mercedes driving fast and forcing other drivers off the road.

Thanks to the on point response by the Warren County Sheriff’s deputies along with an assist from Warren County Fire and Rescue, Front Royal Police and concerned citizens the Mercedes was stopped near 6th and Manassas Ave.

The Mercedes struck several parked vehicles including an occupied one before coming to a stop.

Charges against the driver are pending with Virginia State Police investigating.
