Used by permission by the Warren County Office employee Sergeant Terry Fritts

Warren County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) announced an all clear after a brief school lockdown.

WCSO was notified that an individual with a gun may be on the grounds of Hilda J. Barbour Elementary School.

A School Resource Officer was notified by a concerned student who saw the man near the playground.

The Resource Officer immediately checked the area and placed the school on lockdown as a precautionary measure.

Within minutes additional deputies were on hand, set up a perimeter and began a mythological search for any threat.

After a thorough investigation it was determined that where the report was made in good faith there was no threat to be found.

The lockdown was lifted at all schools that were affected by the investigation.

The WCSO appreciates the swift action and cooperation of all involved in the situation.

As also if you see something say something to avoid any situation that could easily take a turn for the worse.
