The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is partnering with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for the U Drive, U Text, U Pay campaign.

From April 7-11, law enforcement officers will be highly visible in enforcing texting and distracted driving related laws.

Nationwide, distracted driving deaths reached over 26,000 between 2012-2019.

Some tips from the Sheriff’s office and NHTSA include pulling over safely if you need to send a text, assigning a “designated texter” on road trips, or utilizing phone features like “Do Not Disturb” mode.
