WCSO honors a resident with a Crime Prevention Award

A post from Warren County Sheriff’s Office announced that Mike Olmstead has been given the Crime Prevention Award.

Olmstead was honored for his involvement in introducing the Warren Restore program to the county.

Restore is a faith based support group for those dealing with drug addiction.

The program also offers support to those struggling with a family member with addiction issues.

Warren Restore meets every Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the community center call (540) 635-9003 for more information.

Olmstead is the Vice-Chair of the Community Advisory Council (CAC) which was established in 2020.

The CAC is a group of citizens who wish to facilitate open, honest and direct interaction with the WCSO.

The Crime Prevention Award is given to someone who through their idea, actions or involvement positively impact the community.
