WCSO investigate the death of a subject on Remount Rd.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) reports the investigation of the death of a subject on Remount Road.

On Mon. May 1 the WCSO was alerted to the possibility of an armed father coming to the county in retaliation to allegations of  a person’s sexual abusing two minors.

Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the 4000 block of Remount Road to deescalate a possible situation.

Upon arrival Deputies searched the area to find an injured male with head wounds consistent with a gunshot.

Deputies began life saving measures immediately and summoned Emergency Medical Services.

The injured person succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at Warren Memorial Hospital.

The preliminary investigation indicates the incident was an isolated occurrence with the wound being self-inflicted in response to the sexual abuse allegations.
