WCSO rejoins the Regional Drug Task Force
In a unanimous vote by the command board Warren County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) has rejoined the Northwest Virginia Regional Drug Task Force.
The task force’s member agencies are able to combine resources to work together to identify, investigate, and arrest those involved in drug trafficking.
The collective effort enables effective law enforcement throughout the enter Shenandoah Valley in the fight against illegal drugs.
The Northwest Virginia Regional Drug Task Force is comprised of agents from Clarke, Frederick, Page and Shenandoah Counties.
The agency also includes all police departments in those counties in conjunction with the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
According to the email news release Warren County Sheriff Crystal Cline calls rejoining the drug task force demonstrating the determination of her office to significantly impact the supply chain of drugs landing in Warren County.
Last year the Drug Task Force seized nearly $2 million worth of illegal narcotics.
The task confiscated nearly double the amount of fentanyl seized in 2021 alone.
