Wexton Joins Congressional Meet with Gov. Northam

28 June 2019 Winchester Frederick County Clarke County News

Virginia 10th District Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton was one of several congressional leaders who met with Governor Ralph Northam Thursday (6/27/2019).

The Democrat, whose district stretches from Frederick County to Fairfax, was part of a bipartisan congressional delegation that came together for its second annual gathering since Northam took office. Northam and his cabinet updated leaders on a range of key issues, and how state and federal representatives can work together to produce results. Wexton’s focus was on transportation; in a statement on Thursday, she said that “improving Virginia’s transportation system is critical” to her constituents, and that she is pleased to “work with the administration to tackle difficult transportation issues such as funding I-81, improving Metro, and other critical priorities.”
