Winchester Council President Announces Reelection Campaign
29 March 2018 News
Winchester City Council President Bill Wiley announced that he is seeking a nomination from the Winchester Republican Party to run for a second four-year term representing the city’s First Ward.
Wiley was unopposed when he first ran for council in 2014; this year, he is the first candidate in Winchester to announce campaign plans. Among Wiley’s priorities are promoting business opportunities for the city, championing the new forthcoming Emil and Grace Shihadeh Innovation Center as a skill building alternative for non-college students, and working on the quality and efficiency of the city’s infrastructure.
There are three other council seats up for grabs in the election. Republican and Democratic primaries in Virginia are scheduled for June 12th, and the general election will be on November 6th.
