Winchester Man Accused of Trying to Kidnap Ex-Girlfriend

17 December 2017 News

A Winchester man accused of assaulting and trying to kidnap his ex-girlfriend Sunday was taken into custody. Felipe Gonzalez-Rivera, 36, of Smithfield Avenue, was charged with abduction/kidnapping, assault and battery, and burglary after his Wednesday arrest.

The victim and her friend told police they were walking to the victim’s home in the 800 block of National Avenue when Gonzalez-Rivera drove up and forced her into his car. She escaped to her front yard where she says he pushed her down; then she fled to her house where she claims he forced entry and left only when police were called. Gonzalez-Rivera was being held without bond at the Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center on Thursday night. He is due in Winchester General District Court at 10 A.M. on March 21st.
