Winchester Man Arrested for Attempted Shooting at Bail Bondsman

On July 2, 2017, a Winchester City man was arrested after pulling a gun on a bail bondsman. Lorenzo Arnez Green allegedly pulled a bb gun on bail bondsman John Priet while Priet was trying to arrest him for a felony probation violation.
The incident occurred around 4:30pm on East Manmouth Street. According to Priet, Green pointed the gun at him and pulled the trigger. However, the gun jammed. Green then threw it in an alley and fled on foot. Priet further said the bb gun resembled a semi automatic pistol. It was recovered at the scene during the investigation.
Green was charged with felony assault with intent to maim, brandishing a firearm, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, contempt of court and probation violation. He is being held at the Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center without bond. He is scheduled to appear in Winchester Circuit Court on September 27 at 9:00am.
