Winchester Man Arrested for Holding Wife Captive

12 February 2019 Winchester News

A Winchester man was arrested Saturday (2/9/2019) night after assaulting his wife and holding her captive in their home.

Winchester Police met with the victim in the lobby of the Timbrook Public Safety Center at 5 p.m. Saturday, where she informed them about the incident that took place earlier that morning. She told officers that her husband, 30-year-old Jeremy Lavar Anderson, confronted her about her whereabouts when she entered their home at around 2-3a.m. Saturday morning; he then proceeded to attack her, pinning her down and grabbing her neck multiple times, and preventing her from calling 911 for hours.

Anderson’s wife was left with a blackened eye, red marks to her neck and torso, and a wrist injury. He was arrested in his North Cameron Street home at 10:50 p.m. Saturday night, and is now being held without bond at the Northwest Regional Adult Detention Center.
