Winchester Man Cited for “Threat to Bomb”

According to Winchester Police Public Affairs Officer Lt. Amanda Behan, officers responded to the 300 block of Beechcroft Road Monday night in reference to a report that a male was assaulting his girlfriend and attempting to blow up his residence.
When officers arrived they found the female victim, who had escaped from the residence. Christopher Cunningham was alone inside the house, smashing items and trying to ignite Flea and Roach Foggers with cigarettes. Officers posted outside the residence and ordered Cunningham to exit. Cunningham eventually came outside, but had to be subdued after refusing to surrender his hands for cuffing. Chris Cunningham was cited for Threat to Bomb, Domestic Assault, Strangulation, and Obstruction of Justice.
