Winchester man dies in West Virginia shooting

West Virginia State Police and Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the fatal  shooting of a Winchester man.

According to a Journal report The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office responded to an early Friday May 6 shooting at Touch of Texas.

Around 2:30 a.m. Deputies arrived at the Bunker Hill establishment to find a Winchester man shot in the parking lot.

The victim was identified as 21 year old Diata Johnson and was transported to Winchester Medical Center where he died from his wounds.

Johnson was shot after a dispute with another man at the establishment.

Authorities arrested 18 year old Dyreek Harris and charged him with wanton endangerment with a firearm.
