Winchester man sentenced to 6 years for drug violations

Virginia State Police announced the sentencing of a Winchester man to 6 years for drug violations.

Lamont Antoine Parson of Winchester received a sentence of 72 months in federal prison on Mon. June 27.

The 40 year old Parson pleaded guilty to one charge of conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute Eutylone.

The drug is sometimes referred to as Molly or Ecstasy.

Parson also faced a charge of possessing with the intent to distribute Eutylone.

The Northwest Virginia Regional Drug and Gang Task Force began the investigation back in Jan. 2020.

Authorities found, in the apartment Parson and his uncle Gregory McKinley Frye shared, over three kilograms of the drug.

Authorities also confiscated a 9 millimeter pistol and digital scales at the apartment while executing a search warrant on Feb. 6.

Frye pleaded guilty back in Nov. of 2021 and will be sentenced later this year.
