Winchester Police Department names new spokesperson

WINCHESTER, VA–The Winchester Police Department has hired Jennifer Coates Hall as the Police Community Relations and Crime Prevention Specialist.
Hall joins the department with more than 10 years of experience in community relations and media production. She most recently worked as Community Relationship Manager for the Men’s Shelter of Charlotte. She also served in multiple roles at United Way of Central Carolinas following a career as a TV news producer.
“Jennifer brings a unique set of qualities, including public relations and nonprofit experience,” Chief Kevin Sazenbacher said. “We look forward to her energy and enthusiasm to develop public safety and crime prevention efforts for the citizens of Winchester.”
Hall relocated from Charlotte, N.C. However, she is a native a Winchester and a graduate of Sherando High School.
“I am excited to return to my hometown to work for a police department with such a rich history of serving the community. I look forward to creating new partnerships and finding innovative ways to prevent crime and improve the quality of life for everyone in this great city,” Hall said.
Hall replaces Lauren Cummings, who left the department in January to become the Executive Director of the Northern Shenandoah Valley Substance Abuse Coalition.
