Winchester Police Hunt for Armed B&E Suspects

11 January 2019 Winchester News

The Winchester Police Department is on the hunt for two suspects involved in an armed breaking and entering.

Officers responded to a residence in the first block of Jackson Avenue at 12:37 a.m. this morning after receiving a report of a breaking and entering there. Residents said they saw two black males at their side door, one of whom was holding a gun, at which point they dialed 9-1-1; one of the men entered the home while the 9-1-1 call was taking place, and both immediately fled from the scene when they realized authorities had been contacted.

The two suspects were last seen running north on Braddock Street. The male who entered the home is described as 5’4”, in his 20s, and was wearing a green hooded jacket and a black bandana over half of his face. The WPD has no specific description of the other man. Anyone with information is asked to call the Winchester Police Department at 540-662-4131, or Crimesolvers at 540-665-TIPS if they wish to stay anonymous.
