Winchester residents issued shutoff notices by mistake
Approximately 350 customers of the City of Winchester utilities may have received a red water shutoff notice in the last couple of days.
This was an error caused by the utility billing system not billing customers in the last cycle according to the city’s post.
The city’s public services team is working to correct the errors and reconcile accounts that have been impacted by the problem.
The Winchester Public Utilities Customer Service Team will follow up with customers to provide updated billing statements.
In the meantime, utility customers can contact the Customer Service Team to address any questions or concerns.
