WPD arrest one and seek another in a hit and run

Winchester Police Department (WPD) report a hit and run Nov. 1 on Berryville Avenue around 10 p.m.

Officers found a 26-year-old male who had been struck by a vehicle while he was on his bicycle.

The victim was transported to Winchester Medical Center with multiple fractures and serious non-life threatening injuries.

A witness was able to provide crucial information in the incident and an arrest was made shortly thereafter.

A 17-year-old male from Winchester now faces charges of driving without a license, felony hit and run and felony causing injury to another while racing.

Authorities are still investigating and would like anyone with any information on a green Dodge Charger which was the second vehicle involved in what appears to have been a racing incident to contact the WPD.
