WPD make arrest in the Handley High School damage case

The Winchester Police Department(WPD) announced that an arrest has been made in the recent John Handley High School (JHHS) property damage incident.
Two people have been arrested and a third is being interviewed regarding the destruction of property at JHHS.
The two that are in custody are Stephen City residents and accused of damaging school grounds and an outbuilding Apr. 11.
The pair did not enter the school building, but the cost of the damage caused is still being assessed.
It is not believed this was a targeted act against the athletic team, staff or students at the school.
No evidence found or perceived indicates a potential threat to the school or school system.
Following the morning of the damage authorities were able to review video footage and within 36 hours of the offense the three involved were identified and charges were placed.
Zachary Allen Funk and a 17-year-old minor have been charged with attempted breaking and entering.
Both are also charged with wearing a mask in certain places, trespassing on school property and destruction of a public building.
The 21-year-old Funk is also charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
The unidentified minor faces additional charges of unauthorized use of a vehicle, entering with the intent to commit a felony, attempt to commit a felony and destruction of property.
