WPS adopts new policies for personally owned electronic devices
The updated student policies prohibit elementary, intermediate and middle school students from using their phones at school. Students may have personally owned electronic devices in their possession; however, these devices must be silenced and concealed at all times during the school day.
High school students, which were able to use phones during school with a teacher’s permission, are now prohibited from using their phones during instructional time.
Student use of personally owned electronic devices on school buses is subject to the safety guidelines established by the transportation department and bus driver.
