Front Royal business man arrested for battery

An email from Public Information Officer J. C. Cole of the Culpeper Police Department confirms the investigation of a Front Royal man.

On March 3 at 9:40 a.m. the Culpeper County Emergency center received a third party report about a sexual assault that had occurred earlier.

Upon investigation it was revealed that a group reported the complaint while visiting the Culpeper Downtown Carnival on February 26.

Over the course of the day an associate traveling with the purported adult female victim was inappropriately being touched several times without her consent or permission.

The battery stopped when other adults intervened.

Alcohol may have been a factor in the incident.

As a result of the investigation the Culpeper Police Department has charged 50 year old Front Royal business man William Huck with one count of misdemeanor sexual battery.

Huck was arrested on April 1 by Warren County Sheriff’s Office and then released on bond.

Anyone with any additional information is asked to contact Julia Cole of the Culpeper Police Department.
