The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) reports the arrest of a man on a stolen motorcycle out of Fairfax County.
On August 20 an Augusta County deputy attempted to stop a motorcycle following reckless driving on Route 262.
The driver looked back at the deputy’s patrol car with the emergency lights on and acknowledged the attempt to stop him.
The did not stop and continued his run toward the city of Staunton.
Subsequently the driver crashed on Shutterlee Mill Road and fled the scene on foot.
The deputy pursued the driver on foot into the Engleside Apartment complex where he was taken into custody.
Adam Tyler Bodge of Staunton was found to be riding a reportedly stolen motorcycle from Fairfax County.
Bodge sustained a leg injury in the crash and was transported to Augusta Health for examination.
Warrants of eluding, reckless driving, obstruction of justice, driving a motorcycle without a valid license, possession of a stolen motorcycle and stolen license plate were secured.
The 27-year-old Bodge is currently being held without bond at the Middle River Regional jail.
